ICF Wall Area: 9,200 SF
General Contractor: R.D. Michaels, Inc.
Turning Leaf Construction provided complete ICF installation services on this 9,200 SF commercial retail outlet. The structure had wall heights of 23’ which required the use of a tall-wall scaffold system to complete the placement of the ICF forms. The ICF parapet walls, with a formed concrete band at the top of the wall, were assembled using the roof deck as the base to secure bracing. Unique features included constructing four in-wall tie-columns used to attach the structural steel; radius window headers created by shape cutting the ICFs and bucking them with galvanized steel so that a masonry opening was created for the window frame attachment; and installation of hollow metal door frames embedded into the ICF core at the openings.
